I very rarely get down to Portland at night. But the fair came to the Waterfront and I really wanted to take pictures. So Friday night rolled around and we were at Jameson Square, just a short street car/MAX ride to the fair. So off we ran to catch the trolley car.
Fairs are fun, always have that uncatachable child like enjoyment. Now with that said, fairs at night...with small children take on a different light. Happily only one melt down happened in our camp. Not too shabby.
The fairgrounds at night. I was bummed that Chris and I couldn't go on rides, but we've made a plan that once the state fair comes to town....one night Pria gets a sitter and we ride til we puke. Then ride some more :D
This was my favorite of the session. Not a clue what they call this one, but I remember going on it plenty. They seemed to go fast and be bigger when I went on them though.
They always have music. You can't have a fiar without local bands making their ditch at it. These guys, were amazing.
Seriously. I only had the 50 on, so couldn't take what I wanted...but man the bass player....wow could he go. And being that young, the road should be good for them.
As always, the ship come into port and the sailors hit the town. Let's all pause and groan knowing the horrible flirting and outfits innocent bystanders had to witness all weekend long. But there's always a good sight in seeing the sailors going through town, means the Rose Festival is here.
