Still on the vine

Well it is now spring in the northwest, which means even more rain but warmer (hopefully) temperatures. We have had a few bright and sunny days, hoping to have plenty more of them soon. The flowers are starting to bloom and I'm a gearing up for several trips to mom's house. I'm not much of a gardener now a days....just don't have the space to do what I want. I have one flower and I love it. It's an orchid, a very nice gift from Chris, and the easiest thing I've ever had to grow besides tomatoes. Ooh the memmories of eating cherry tomatoes off the vine...mmmmm :) I'm hoping to get a playmate for my orchid, thinking something in blue...or maybe yellow. It's a very simple and very beautiful indoor flower. I'm all for flowers inside, but cut ones just never seem to last very long and most indoor plants just....don't appeal to me. Pria likes it, it's up high from her and her toys, but I lift her up to see and smell it. She has a great flower sniff :) Soon we well take another trip to the Rose Garden and she will happily sniff everything in sight. I'm glad that she appreciates flowers and I can generally keep her from plucking them. We are trying to learn the different names of the flowers we see, but as of now just saying flower and the colors she sees works for me.
